After a 7.0 Magnitude earthquake hit Haiti in 2010, Lionel Richie suggested the a remake of "We Are The World" be made in an effort to help those effected by the large quake. Knowing the past success of the song made for Africa, a new version was remade with over 85 artists contributing in making the song. The song was basically the same, besides some adjustments and additions made by some of the artists. The Song is still available on Itunes and was one of the top 100 songs for a long period of time. The importance of media has not changed over the years, actually it has only gotten more important. I'm sure that if something like this occurs again in 20-30 years, there will be a whole new line up of stars that remake the song a third time to help the people.
